Paterson Day care 100 (PDC100) was incorporated in 1971 as a 501 (c) (3) private not for profit corporation. we are a child development program concerned with the intentional development for social, cognitive, emotional, physical, intellectual, and academic growth of each child participating in our program.
We are grateful to have a highly educated and talented staff. Our teachers, assistants and administrative staff have many years of experience in early childhood education and many have high degrees. We are also a family centered program, directing our services towards strengthening families through families as a unit: efforts are made to enhance the parent-child relationship by involving the parents in making decisions concerning the nature and operation of our facilities.
Our Philosphy
The Philosophy Of This Agency Is to ASSIST Children To Develop Personal characteristics, skills, and talents that Enable Them To Lead Happy And Effective Lives As Possible: Through Providing Specific Experiences Which Promotes Learning And Healthy Adjustments, Such As; Appropriate Physical Activities; Language Learning Experiences; Problem Solving Experiences; Creative Activities; And Opportunities To Develop Self-Reliance.
Providing Them These Opportunities Will Promote Development Of The "Whole Child": Social/Emotional Development, Physical Development, Cognitive Development, Language Development. In Order to Create Optimal Language Environments For English Language Learners, Center Directors Are required To Have Bilingual Staff Available For Dialog And Interaction With Children. The Children Will Gain Competence In Their Home Language, As Well As A Second Language. The Natural Approach Is Used. Activities Are To reflect An Environment Whereby Communication In Both The Native Language And English Flows Freely.
Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting
PDC100's top priority is health and safety. all vistors, staff and children are required to wear mask when entering into the building. child-sized sinks for washing hands Regularly and sanitizer is used to slow the spread of germs. Children Are Observed And Monitored For Signs Of Illness. Parents Will Be Notified ASAP When Their Child Has A Fever Or Does Not Feel Good, To Help Prevent The Spread Of Any Illness. Classrooms Are Cleaned Regularly, With Child-Safe Products Throughout The Day; Including All Touched Surfaces And Toys, From Wiping Tables, Chairs, Sweeping To Cleaning Cots After Nap Time.
All surfaces are Sanitized after cleaning, using clorox anywhere spray or a mixure of Germicidal Bleach And water. classrooms are equiped with air purifiers to Reduce airborne germs including COVID-19 The Purifiers work to clean The Air And Remove Airborne Particulates.
Maintenance And Janitorial Staff Disinfects Our Buildings At The End Of Every day, Using Electrostatic Sprayers To Keep The Germs At A Minimum Throughout Both Of Our Buildings. The electrostatic sprayers are Food Safe, Non-Toxic, Non-Corrosive And Improves The Infection Control And The Spread Of Viruses To Most Treated Hard To Reach Surfaces.
